The Sheila Godfrey Skin Therapy Centre

Electrolysis

Electrolysis, first used in 1875, is the only proven method of permanent hair removal at this time, although Laser and intense Pulsed Light, still in their infancy, are proving to be very effective in eliminating unwanted hair.

Electrolysis works by introducing a small amount of energy , through a very fine needle, along the hair to the base of the follicle. Heat is created which destroys the cells of the lower follicle. The hair is then removed.

More than one treatment will be required. Results are influenced by the cause of the hair growth, the growth cycle and strength of the hair.

Electrolysis is the ideal method of treatment for white hair, fine hair, small areas of hair growth, individuals who are not suitable for laser or Intense pulsed light and people who have an active sun tan.

What our clients say

I am delighted with the appearance of my skin. Other people have commented on the reduction of pigmentation on my face. I no longer have to use heavy make-up to hide it. I am looking forward to my daughter’s wedding later this year knowing that I do not have to worry about how my skin will look. Thank you so much.
